Inventory Manager

Position Overview

We are looking for an Inventory Manager to join our team. This position will be responsible for all aspects of inventory management for the Felix device, components, accessories, and supplies. This role reports directly to the President.

The Inventory Manager is a critical position that ensures operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and timely availability of product across clinical, commercial, and fulfillment channels.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in medical device inventory, experience working with third-party logistics (3PLs) and contract manufacturers, and thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage inventory tracking systems across all internal and external locations (e.g., warehouses, 3PLs, clinical sites, contract manufacturers).
  • Implement and maintain procedures for inventory control, traceability, and replenishment.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA and QMS requirements for inventory handling, including lot tracking, serial number assignment, and UDI management.
  • Forecast inventory needs and lead demand planning activities in coordination with supply chain, commercial, and clinical teams.
  • Manage product shipments, returns, refurbishments, and replacements across programs and customer channels.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts; reconcile discrepancies and lead root cause investigations.
  • Oversee inventory-related documentation and reporting to support regulatory filings, durable medical equipment DMEPOS billing, and internal KPIs.
  • Coordinate with external partners (e.g., CMOs, 3PLs, freight carriers) to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products.
  • Develop and refine scalable inventory processes as the business grows across geographies and product lines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations, logistics, or related field required.
  • 3+ years of inventory or supply chain management experience in a regulated healthcare or medical device environment required.
  • Experience managing inventory for FDA-regulated medical devices, especially in DME or DMEPOS preferred.
  • Deep understanding of inventory systems, controls, and FDA requirements (e.g., 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485).
  • Proficiency with inventory software or ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with UDI, lot/batch tracking, and GUDID requirements.
  • Experience supporting clinical study inventory.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build and scale inventory processes in a growth-stage company.
